Lake Ewauna is the beginning of the Klamath
River. Fed by Link River from Upper Klamath Lake and controlled by
the release of water from Keno Dam 18 miles downstream, Lake Ewauna stays at
a constant level throughout the year. Except for the occasional storm
days the prevailing wind blows from the north and allows for rowing
virtually every day that temperature allows. In December and January
days are limited by ice, but from February to Halloween, we can row
everyday. Our racecourse follows the deepest part of our lake with a depth
of 2.5 meters to 10 meters.
Veteran's Memorial Park is located at the western
end of Main St in downtown Klamath Falls. Lake Ewauna allows 2200
meters of rowing and flows into the Klamath River which allows us to row 28
km downstream to Keno Oregon.
